This 2-night class delves more deeply into the process of turning between two centers. Mastering these skills means you can turn furniture legs, ballisters, ornaments, vases, and other decorative items. You’ll use the roughing gouge, spindle gouge, and parting tool, but you’ll spend most of your time mastering the skew chisel to create intricate beads and grooves. We provide all safety equipment and one lathe per student. Following this course, you may use Open Shop hours to use our lathes, although you must provide your own hand tools.
Cost: $80 (includes materials)
Meeting Times: 2 Mondays 6:30 – 9:30. We also have a week-long summer intensive.
